SUMMARY
A rare, UK-supplied, RHD, 220A Ponton. A bit of a project, well actually, quite a lot of a project.
DESCRIPTION
- Built between 1954 and 1959, the 220 'Ponton' was a worldwide success
- This example has been parked for over 30 years
- The engine has been turned over during the passing years and even now with the introduction of a little fuel it can be seen running
- Originally supplied by Thompson Doxey of Southport. Lots of old receipts and even its original service book
- The boot contains many parts including wheel trims, door handles and various bits of chrome
- It does require a substantial level of restoration, that may take some time but a UK RHD Ponton is a rare thing these days, with possibly three hundred known to survive
Viewing is highly recommended and vehicles will be available for viewing at the venue on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th June between 10am and 5pm, and then from 9am on Saturday 18th ahead of the auction which begins at 10.30am.
